Raw Puer Impression 2021

How many cups have been drunk, how many moments filled with sweetness… Today, we finished a favorite—if not a legend—a deep, multi-layered sheng pu'er that fully lives up to its name: “Impression”.

🌿 A blend of spring and autumn 2021 harvest leaves from Mengku, Ban Dong, and Jinggu, stone-pressed using traditional techniques.

Aroma

Hot leaves: damp moss, the saltiness of a coastal breeze, the tartness of goji berries. Inhaling, you feel like a little snail crawling along a puddle’s edge. 🐌🌊

Steamed leaves: light floral honey, fern leaves, cucumber soda (Sprite), marjoram, burdock flower, lychee peel.

Taste

The minerality of moss-covered stone, wakame seaweed, meadow grasses, sage, and edamame. A hint of dill emerges in the aftertaste.

A moderately oily body, the drink glides effortlessly down the throat. After the fifth steeping, it unfolds into an ultimate sweetness: vanilla pod, sweet corn, condensed milk.

Effect

Smoothly relaxes the body while lending agility and fluidity to attention, adding a playful touch to perception.

With a tea like this, you want to listen to experimental ambient music, watch squirrels play in the garden—and in that observation, for a moment, become a squirrel yourself, because the observer is inseparable from the observed. 🐿
